I can render the data into SharePoint custom list without issue. However, when I click on list menu, datasheet and export to excel button is gray out. What did I miss?

In addition, my table in SQL contains more than rows. As soon as I have more than rows, my custom list won't display. It appears there is a limitation of the data from custom list. When you are in the Datasheet view and the Datasheet view button is grayed out, it is most likely becasue this capability has been disabled on the list.

In the list settings, an administartor can go to "Advanced Settings" and change "Allow Items in this list to be edited using the datasheet?
